Happy Birthday Macallister!!!!

Part 1

I can not believe that Macallister is now one.  Seriously, where has the time gone?  We had such a good birthday day.  We went to the zoo, went to lunch, and then had birthday cake and presents.  I have so many  pictures that I am going to break it up into 2 posts to get it all in.  Matt and I were really nervous when we woke up Thursday morning and it was raining.  Matt had taken the day off so that we could take Mac to the zoo, and it was pouring.  We decided that we would get ready anyways and head down town and at least try.  It was a good thing that we did because by the time we got down town the weather had cleared up and it turned out to be a beautiful day.  We had so much fun looking at tall of the animals.  The best part  about the St. Louis zoo is that it is free!!  So much to do and see and it didn't cost us anything.  Well, we paid $5 for a train ride around that zoo but it was well worth it!  It think that Mac loved it- he loved walking around the reptile house, and hanging off the fences around the zebras and giraffes. 

Now that Mac is officially a big boy, he got to sit in his new big boy car seat and drink out of his big boy sippy cup facing forward.  Gosh, he is getting so big!!

 Right up close to the monkey.  It was so nice that day at the zoo, all the animals were out and there were hardly any people around.  It was the best!

 Mac really liked the reptile house.  There was a ledge that wrapped around the front of the cages and he was able to hold on and walk all around by himself.  He loved it!

 I could have done without the ginormous snakes though.... creepy!

 Climbing on the fences was just about as fun as seeing all the animals!

 Poor little fella fell asleep for a 45 minute power nap during the hippos and elephants.  We took him to see them anyways.  Tired little fella.

 The zoo is located by Forest Park so we stopped for a quick photo shoot!  

 Mac was not loving all the crunchy grass and leaves. Silly boy!

After the zoo we took Mac to Ruby Tuesdays for french fries.  Mac loves french fries!!
